The CNA is a para-professional employee trained to provide personal care and related services, functioning under the supervision and instruction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Field Supervisor and the direction of the branch administrator.
Requirements/Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining a healthful, safe environment.
- Providing nutritional and environmental support.
- Assisting with personal hygiene.
- Feeding, dressing, walking and toileting the patient.
- Reminding the patient to take medications.
Position purpose:
To provide assistance to clients in the Charleston area.
Additional skills/Professional characteristics:
- Must be currently certified in the state as a CNA with a verifiable certificate.
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish, Russian, Creole)
Physical requirements:
Must be in reasonable physical shape to perform job requirements, including: turning/transferring a patient, assisting them into/out of bed, and assistance bathing.
