Licensed Position description:
The On Call RN is responsible to handle problems and provide direction when the office is closed. The person holding this position must be knowledgeable in assessing situations and handling problems in a positive manner and be able to provide guidance, information and compassion. The employee is compensated on a fee for visit basis as determined by the agency. Visit notes must be submitted at least weekly. There are no employee benefits available with this position.
Position purpose:
Accepts client assignments weekly and ongoing from the SCS. • Obtains verbal report from the PCN, SCS prior to providing client care. Cooperates with other agencies providing related services to provide continuity of care. • Participates in the development and periodic revision of the Physician’s Plan of Treatment.

Additional skills/Professional characteristics: - Must be a registered nurse currently licensed in the State, preferably with at least one (1) year experience in home care. - Must meet the requirements of the State Department of Health. - Experience with computers, OASIS, and electronic patient records helpful
Special skills:
Must be available on short notice for cases in the New London area
Physical requirements:
Must be in reasonable physical shape to help in assisting the client with turning, transferring, and helping them out of bed.
