The SALSA will coordinate and manage all nursing and assisted living aide services rendered to clients by direct service staff under his or her supervision. Also, participate in or developing all agency objectives, standards of care, policies & procedures concerning nursing services and the provision of assistance with activities of daily living. In addition, Participate in direct service staff recruitment, selection, orientation, and in- service education, program planning, budgeting, and evaluating activities related to the clinical services provided by the agency.
• Supervising assigned nursing personnel and assisted living aides in the delivery of nursing services and assistance with the provision of activities of daily living.
Position purpose:
Responsible for maintaining the quality of all clinical services. The responsibility includes the coordination and guidance of the clinical staff to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services to clients and community.
Special skills:
• A baccalaureate degree in nursing and a minimum of two(2) years full-time or full-time equivalent clinical experience in nursing, at least one(1) of which was in s home health care agency or community health program which included care of the sick at home; or
• A Associate degree in nursing and a minimum of four(4) years of full-time equivalent clinical experience in nursing within the past ten(10) years, at least one(1) year of which was in home health care agency or community health program which included care of the sick at home.
Physical requirements:
• Visual / hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written and verbal communication.
• Ability to verbalize so that the average person can comprehend.
• Able to sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to handle stress and remain calm under pressure.
• Carry out a wide variety of tasks that require frequent interaction with many people.
